Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)

The OSP provides the following basic services:

Review and approve all proposals before submission to external sponsors
Review and approve all proposal budgets
Training & development for research administration personnel
Negotiate agreements with external sponsors and subrecipient organizations
Accept and manage awards for all sponsored projects which include such post award administration as processing Assumption of Risks (AOR), re-budgeting, no-cost extensions, award transfers, etc.
Monitor institutional adherence to (some) sponsor compliance requirements (FAFATA reports, Export Controls monitoring, Conflict of Interest)
Award close-out (Non-financial)

Office of Research Development

ORD provides the following basic services:

Proposal development support
Faculty development opportunities
Facilitate funding searches
Support of faculty collaborations
Resubmission consultations
Support at startup for funded projects

Office of Research Compliance & Integrity (ORCI)

The Office of Research Compliance & Integrity (ORCI) is responsible for the oversight of research integrity and compliance matters in the areas of:

Ethical conduct of human and animal research
Responsible conduct of research
Biosafety
Federal and state regulations
Export control
International travel or collaboration policies
External professional activities
Conflicts of interest and commitment
Security

Contract & Grant Accounting

Contract & Grant Accounting partners with Principal Investigators, faculty, and staff to provide comprehensive post-award oversight and guidance to ensure external funds are utilized in a manner consistent with university, sponsor, state, and federal guidelines. They protect the University’s interest by ensuring accurate and compliant accounting of income and expenditures; generating complete and accurate invoices; submitting timely and accurate financial reports; identifying and resolving issues that arise throughout the life cycle of the award; completing account reconciliation and award closeout; providing training and development on post award administration and reporting.
